Hall Pass review

Hall Pass Review

Hall Pass starring Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis  and Christina Applegate, is about two married men Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) who are best friends that has a lot in common with each other, this including that fact that they have been married for years. When Rick (Wilson) and Fred (Sudeikis) start showing signs of anxiety at home, their wives Maggie (Jenna Fischer) and Grace (Christina Applegate) decided that they want to take a courageous step to try and rejuvenate their marriage and they grant their husbands a “Hall Pass”. The two men granted with the opportunity to have all the freedom they desire for one week, no questions asked. Rick and Fred naturally think at first that this chance they are given one of those “to good to be true”, but they soon find out just how out of touch with reality they really are.
Wilson and Sudeikis are hilarious together in this movie as Rick and Fred, I think the pair’s comedic abilities absolutely complement one another, and of course in Hall Pass like all of his past movies you will see Wilson’s witted charm. Their juvenile comic situations just scream the comedic humor of the Farrelly brothers. If you don’t have an open sense of humor, be prepared to be offended with some of the dirty jokes and toilet humor material that makes the Farrelly Bothers.
Over all Hall Pass is your typical dirty mined Farrelly brother’s movie. Hall Pass is not a date movie so fella’s don’t even attempt to think about taking your date to see this. It’s a definite guys night movie, or girls evening out type movie. While other critics seem to be doing their best criticize the movie, I rather like it. It’s not really story line that has been done before, and in all honesty at least the movie is original and not some ridiculous remake. Hall Pass is only of the those illogical comedies that come out once in a great while to gives that same glimpse out of reality.

One Life to Live 2/9/11

Brody, Jessica, Natalie and John at their double wedding. (C) ABC.com

The truth is out! And the damage has been done! Today’s episode of One Life to Live picks up where yesterdays had left off.  Vimble continued to tell the whole dirty truth that Clint made him switch the DNA results. The draw back as you may remember Clint didn’t know that both his daughters Jessica and Natalie were getting DNA tests done. Vimble admitted that he flipped a coin on chance to determine which test to change, and he admitted that it was Jessica’s test that he had switched to make it show that Brody was in fact the father of Jessica’s baby. Now here is where the situation worsens.
John notices that Natalie looks like she is about to “Jump out of her skin” as he puts it when Vimble announces that he changed the DNA test. Now realizing that he is not the father of Ryder and it’s actually Robert Ford, Brody leaves the wedding party. Noticing the reaction from Natalie, she and John leave the room and he demands answers from her. But unfortunately it looks like neither sister will get their happily ever after as Natalie confesses to John that she and Brody slept together as Brody confesses the same to Jessica, and for being fans of both couples, I really hope that this is not the end of either of them. I’ve really gain a lot of respect for the character of Jessica Buchannon, especially after Bree Williamson took over the part. She truly is in my opinion the most under-rated actress in daytime soaps.
Meanwhile, Star is outside James’s door trying to figure out a way for her to tell him that she is finally moving forward with her life, and wants a chance with him. Inside the apartment, James and his new gal pal are about to sleep with each other, but she puts on the brakes. Star catches her leaving James’s apartment, and gets the wrong idea. But honestly, I love her and Cole together, but if the writers are going to put her with James, then DO IT ALREADY!!! Enough of this cat and mouse game between Star and James it’s not cute anymore and quite frankly it’s getting annoying.
Bo arrests Clint and Vimble, Clint brags that Bo doesn’t have enough evidence to hold him, and unfortunately Nora has to agree. Will Clint get away with everything he has done? I mean he did murder Eddie Ford, had him kidnap Nora who was almost rapped by Eddie because of Clint. He forced Vimble to change the DNA of not only Jessica’s paternity test, but also his own in order to deny the fact the Rex Balsom is really his son. So I hope that this isn’t another story line they are going to drag out, and they are able to bring that SOB down of his pedestal. I really hate how what kind of person the writers of OLTL turned Clint into.
The scenes for tomorrow’s episode look intense as John still wants answers from Natalie. In a quick seen, he demands that she tell him that Leahm isn’t his. John is so furious I can’t help but feel bad for him, after the death of his child with Marty Saybrook and now learning that his child is really Brody’s. You can catch OLTL on ABC at 2p. EST
