Season 12 cast (C) ABC |
Season 12 of Dancing with the stars is off to a stellar start. Of course they are some nerves that needs to be worked out, like Wendy Williams who looked more stiff and insecure than a teenage girl who was about to lose her virginity. Former play mate Kendra who was just awful in general, can we put the pole dancing aside please?? Sugar Leonard was ready to impress, but his enthusiasm was severely lacking in his routine, anyone can tell he was counting his steps. He has potential I will agree, but like what Bruno said, he has to work on his posture.
Season 12 of Dancing with stars started with the first dance from Chelsea Cane, who has some kinks to work out, but did dance beautifully on the dance floor. I like Cane and hope she will be staying around awhile. Hines Ward? Well I’m a Hines Ward is Hines Ward, he has potential but really Ward get over the super bowl loss, the green packers were just the better team, and I not only say that as a GBP fan, but as a Clevelander. Super model Petra looked absolutely stunning in her gown as she danced elegantly with her partner. Being that she was a survivor of the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia, she dedicated her first dance to all who were suffering in Japan. Her routine paid great homage, and brought Carrie Ann, the audience and myself to tears, I like Petra and would love to see her go to the finale.
Romeo has potential and will go far in the competition, but it is Kristie Alley and Ralph Macchio who became the fan and judge favorite on the first night. Macchio and his partner Karina aced the leader board with an all 8 score, they are followed by Kristie Alley and her partner who is in second place on the leader board with a score of 8.7.8 from the judges. I really liked Macchio’s performance and as I twittered I am calling it now, Ralph Macchio will be season 12 dancing with the stars champion!
